Biography
Helen Osborn is a mixed media artist whose practice explores personal experiences and narratives, encompassing themes such as hope, disappointment, conformity and escapism in her installations, sculptures, spray paintings and photography. The collection and use of found objects is a recurring motif in her work. Osborn is interested in the traces left behind from artistic processes, the playful and theatrical use of everyday materials and the associations between objects, experience and memory. Visually, her work is inspired by street culture and urban landscapes and also her interest in advertising, with its interplay between text and visual imagery. Helen has just completed a Masters in Fine Art at Birmingham School of Art, Birmingham City University.
